Oh la, la - Nice, France

After our wedding, Colin and I went to Nice, France for our honeymoon. We were in the south of France from the 30 August 2006 to and including 6 September, 2006.

Our week in France

Our week was full of French food, some good, some not-so-good, walking and bus trips. We enjoyed our week but I think Colin will return before I do! Overall though, a wonderful trip...

We arrived late Wednesday evening and took a taxi to the apartment we rented. After our initial communication issues with the taxi driver, we finally got to the tiny studio.

It consisted of a fully functioning kitchen including washer, a bathroom and a living room/bedroom.

Since we arrived late we didn't go anywhere other than a quick walk around the immediate area of the apartment. We came across an Irish pub, McMahon's, so we stopped for a pint and walked back to the apartment.

The next day we decided to continued walking around Old Nice and a bus tour of the city.

On Saturday we took a boat trip to the island of Ste. Marguerita off of the coast of Cannes. Along the way, we saw dolphins and had a good view of the Alps.

We also spent a day in Monaco..

The following day we went inland to a pretty village called Grasse where we spent the afternoon shopping and browsing.

It was a quick trip and the following day we returned home to N. Ireland and enjoyed the remainder of the week at home.
